TaxAct

TaxAct is an excellent tax program offered at a very reasonable price. It is not extensive as TurboTax or TaxCut and does not contain special features, such as retirement planning or investment advice. However, TaxAct is perfect for filing your returns. The updated version of TaxAct features J.K. Lasser’s Your Income Tax 2006 by John Wiley, which offers tax strategies, tax law changes, tips, warning of commonly made mistakes, and much more. TaxAct supports both federal and 43 state electronic filings. It is easy to use and simple to understand.
